Walkability office design on an urban scale

This proposal focusses on the 72,000 square meters area adjacent to the Seoul Express bus terminal that is currently used as a bus parking lot. This proposal reactivates the entire site on an urban scale, creates public space for the citizens in Seoul, reorganizes the old bus station, and the office building will bring benefits to the Shinsegae group who owns this area.

We form an air corridor between office buildings to create public space in this proposed high-density site. Because the site is located between the Han River and the Surigol Park, it has the potential to complete an urban connection between the River and the Park. A city green corridor to connect them, analogous to the New York City High Line park. The main office building is placed on a 12m high platform. Two floors are set up under the platform, mainly used as the new commercial area of the Shinsegae Group, and also including a new bus terminal.
