GSAPP’s Urban Planning program is committed to social justice and recognizes the power of education equity in creating a better future. The MSUP Program Council, a student organization representing the student body of the Urban Planning program, recognizes that applicants of color and applicants from immigrant, international, and/or low-income backgrounds often face unique challenges when seeking to enter graduate school. That is why Program Council is proud to offer volunteer support from the current student body to assist with the applications of prospective students who have historically been underrepresented at GSAPP and higher education more broadly. Student volunteers from the Urban Planning program will provide each applicant with anonymous feedback and general suggestions for the overall application, personal statement and/or writing samples on a first-come first-served basis.
Please submit your materials prior to January 5th if you would like to receive support. Note, our student volunteers will take a two-week pause during the finals period from December 6-20, and volunteer availability may be limited thereafter due to winter break.
