The Review Summit, convening on December 10, marks the culminating event of all Advanced Studio reviews at GSAPP, bringing students, faculty, and invited critics together for a day of collective exchange. The Summit assembles work from across the School into a shared space of conversation, foregrounding the semester’s shared investigations and allowing projects developed in different studios to be read alongside one another and discussed in relation to broader architectural questions.

This year’s Summit considers the theme On Collectivity and the Practice of Uncertainty, drawing inspiration from economist Albert O. Hirschman’s notion of possibilism—the idea that development depends on uncovering resources, capacities, and forms of action that are often overlooked or dispersed. Within this frame, the Summit asks how architectural practice might reveal what is latent, make room for the unexpected, and widen the field of what can be imagined or enacted.
