Dave Brown

Dave Brown is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia GSAPP and a Senior Associate at Woods Bagot.

Brown teaches P.L.A.C.E., a seminar he is co-teaching with Mark Bearak that is sponsored by the Friends of Governor’s Island. Students design shade structures for Governor’s Island using digital design and fabrication.

Woods Bagot is a People Architecture company aimed at delivering engaging, future-oriented projects that respond to the way people actually use space. Woods Bagot works from a global design and consulting studio with a team of over 850 experts working across 17 studios in Australia, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.

He began his career as an intern at NCG Architects in September 2001. After a handful of other internships Brown went on to be a visiting Critic of Architecture at the University of Toronto. He then worked up the ranks from Associate to Senior Architect at Bjarke Ingels Group, BIG, before joining Woods Bagot.
