Aaron Berman is an architectural designer based in New York City.
Born in Colorado, he graduated with honors from the University of Colorado’s School
of Environmental Design. From there he went on to receive a Masters degree in
Architecture from Columbia University, where he held six graduate teaching
assistantships in digital fabrication and digital design courses. He was awarded the
Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize upon graduation.
Aaron has worked with architecture firms in Colorado, San Francisco, and New York.
He has worked professionally on projects throughout the United States, Europe, and
Asia. Aaron was also an architectural designer for renowned New York artist, Roxy
Paine. He collaborated on projects with Roxy that have been exhibited all over the
world in galleries and museums. During this time he explored complex digital
fabrication techniques, while operating within the intersection of art and architecture.
Aaron's work has been showcased in magazines and design publications in the United
States, France, Brazil, Hong Kong, Italy, and London, including fifteen projects in
Columbia’s Abstract, (2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2011-2012). His work with Roxy Paine
has been on display at Marianne Boesky Gallery, Frieze New York, The Brooklyn Art
Museum, Kavi Gupta Gallery, Art Basel, Site Santa Fe, and more.
Aaron is currently working as a designer at Weiss / Manfredi Architects in TriBeCa in
New York City.
