Adjunct Assistant Professor
M.S. Real Estate Development

Robert Paley is Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Real Estate Development program at Columbia GSAPP.

Robert Paley is the Director of Transit-Oriented Development at Metropolitan Transportation Authority. At the MTA, Robert oversees MTA property development, including the West Side Yard development in Manhattan, as well as efforts to promote better coordination between local land use policies and transit-oriented development throughout MTA’s regional commuter rail and subway networks.

Prior to joining MTA, Mr. Paley developed residential buildings near transit for several private real estate companies.

Mr. Paley is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s NY District Council Advisory Board and the national TOD Council of the Urban Land Institute. He received his BA and MBA from Yale University.
