Sarah Carpenter

Sarah Carpenter is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architecture at Columbia GSAPP and a partner at Carpenter & Mason.

Prior to joining forces with Chris Horger to form Carpenter & Mason, she worked in the offices of OMA, Leong Leong, Bernard Khoury Architects (in Beirut) and AvroKO. In a life before her love affair with architecture, Carpenter was a Gallary Directore at Galerie Guido W. Baudach.

Carpenter graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, she went on to receive her Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP).

Carpenter was born in Boise, Idaho and raised on a farm in the Oklahoma / Texas Panhandle.
