Rui Guan

Adjunct Assistant Professor

Rui Guan is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia GSAPP.

He is currently an architect in Carlo Ratti Associati, an international design and innovation office based in Torino, Italy, with branches in New York and London. Directed by Prof. Carlo, the office is involved in many projects across the globe, embracing every scale of intervention – from furniture to urban planning.

Rui earned a B.Arch with honors from Southeast University and a Post-professional master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia GSAPP. He has been working and studying in several leading architectural institutions including ZAO/standardarchitecture in Beijing, New Practice in New York, and University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
