Spatial Simulations

The workshop focuses on the creation of an immersive information space that is able to be navigated in real-time. The interactive interface will be a working prototype for visualizing primary and subsidiary information within the three-dimensional model in order to fully document a design using a dynamic mode of representation. Elements such as electrical diagrams, cost analysis, and historical data will be imbedded in the file structure, easily controlled and edited by the user.

Techniques focus on compressing the information required to generate the primary data set, collapsing the data into an abbreviated form using numerous techniques such as rendering scene data to textures, generating pre-rendered global radiosity solutions, using HDRI sources, and utilizing Direct X materials within 3ds max 8.

I have been corresponding with 3ds max -and plan to contact Sony for additional technical support and possible sponsorship. The graphic capabilities of a next generation gaming engine will easily allow for an extraordinary complex interactive three-dimensional interface.
