Kent Diebolt founded Vertical Access, a firm specializing in building inspections and condition reports for architects, engineers, and conservators utilizing efficient, lightweight rigging systems for buildings and monuments with hard-to-reach areas such as steeples, domes, towers, chimneys, cupolas, and high parapet or screen walls. Kent Diebolt served as President of the Association for Preservation Technology International (APTI) from 2001 - 2003 and served as Past President through 2005. Previously, Kent has served as Vice President of APT, was APT Liaison to the International Council on Monuments and Sites (US/ICOMOS), and Board President for Historic Ithaca.
