Malwina Łyś-Dobradin joined GSAPP in May of 2010 as the Director of Global Network Programming. From 2006 to 2010 Malwina worked as Associate Director for President Lee Bollinger’s Arts Initiative where she created the Columbia Alumni Arts League (CAAL), launched Arts Global, developed President Václav Havel's seven-week artist residency on the theme of arts and citizenship, and worked on numerous other University-wide arts programs. Malwina has two degrees from Columbia University, a MS in Fundraising Management and Nonprofit Administration and a BA in Political Science and Creative Writing.

Li Hu studied architecture in Tsinghua University in Beijing and Rice University in Houston. He is the founding Partner of OPEN Architecture, an experimental design and research studio based in Beijing. From 2005 to 2010, he was the Partner of Steven Holl Architects and Director of their Beijing office. Together with Steven Holl, he has designed some of the firm's most ambitious buildings in China such as Linked Hybrid in Beijing and Vanke Center in Shenzhen. Li Hu is also the founder and editor of 32 magazine. He became the director of Studio-X Beijing in 2009.

Rajeev Thakker holds a BA from Syracuse University and a MSAAD from GSAPP. He has worked for firms in New York such as S.O.M. and The Arnell Group on architecture, product and graphic design projects. He moved to Mumbai in 2000 to pursue a career in teaching and has lectured, hosted workshops, and led Architectural Design Studios at institutes like KRVIA and BSSA Schools of Architecture. He also runs a design studio for a leading developer and manages his own practice called ‘a-RT’ which provides consultancy and design services for architectural and interior projects and takes a keen interest in documenting the city and various spatial conditions through cartographic, architectural and other creative processes (i.e. drawing, painting, and photography).

Geoff Manaugh is the author of BLDGBLOG (http://bldgblog.blogspot.com) and The BLDGBLOG Book (Chronicle Books, 2009), former senior editor of Dwell magazine and a contributing editor at Wired UK. Along with Nicola Twilley, he organized and co-curated "Landscapes of Quarantine," a design studio and group exhibition at New York's Storefront for Art and Architecture, and he is solo curator of a 2011 exhibition at the Nevada Museum of Art called "Landscape Futures: Instruments, Devices and Architectural Inventions." In addition to lecturing on a broad range of architectural topics at museums and design schools around the world, and freelancing for such publications as The New York Times, Domus, and Abitare, Manaugh has taught at Columbia University, USC, the Pratt Institute, and the University of Technology, Sydney. In August 2011, he became co-director of Studio-X New York.

Nicola Twilley became co-director of Studio-X New York in August 2011. She is also the author of the blog Edible Geography, co-founder of the Foodprint Project and Future Plural, the former Food Editor at GOOD magazine, and a freelance writer, designer, and curator with exhibitions installed at Storefront for Art and Architecture and the Pratt Manhattan Gallery, and work published in The Atlantic, Volume, Domus, Landscape Architecture, The Architects' Newspaper, Dwell, Business Insider, and Wired UK.
