Green Builders at Columbia (GB@C)

Hi Green Builders,
Here's a few cool things that are going on in the green building world:
1. Someone sent me an internship opportunity to share with the club. Check out this blog post for details.
2. The Green Builders Fellowship Ball (soon to be given a far sexier name) is happening! But, we need a lots of help in planning and running the event. These things don't just happen on their own. If you want to get invovled in any aspect of this party to plan a party get in touch with Melissa Tapper. Here is a link to Melissa's group.
3. Have you ever felt like your critics just didn't appreciate all the solar panels and green roofs on your studio project? We are seeking submissions for another event in the works. We would like to have a student panel and a student review of student projects going on in GSAPP and elsewhere in the university that address ecological and sustainable issues. Get in touch with MalikaKirkling to find out how you could present your project to the right audience.
4. Also, you might not know we had such a hidden gem on the site, but Bianca Jagger (yes the celebrity and world activist) asked us to post the transcript of her speech that she delivered as part of the EcoGram conference at GSAPP this fall. Here's a link to the speech.

GB@C is a student group at Columbia University dedicated to sustainable design, products and materials, green building practices, and sustainable development. We are an interdisciplinary group with with members drawn from various departments including architecture, engineering, urban planning, and real estate development, ensuring a multi-faceted approach to solving sustainable development issues.
