Liu Jiakun is an architect and the founder of Jiakun Architects. His practice focuses on social reality, local context, and vernacular craftsmanship, exploring the relationship between individual and collective memories through architecture. In 2025, Liu was awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize.

Liu Jiakun delivers this Academic Year’s John Foerster ‘64 Fund Lecture, with an introduction by Dean Andrés Jaque and a response by Jing Liu (GSAPP, SO-IL) and Bart-Jan Polman (GSAPP).
