Genghis Hadi ’07 MSRED, Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Nahla Capital, led the acquisition of a 3-acre oceanfront development site on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach for approximately US $270 million. The assemblage includes the Raleigh Hotel, a historic Art Deco property originally completed in 1940 and designed by L. Murray Dixon.

The site had been entitled for a mixed-use redevelopment including hotel restoration and a residential component. Nahla Capital’s purchase reflects a broader private-equity approach to acquiring stalled or transitional assets, combining heritage properties with long-term redevelopment and repositioning strategies in high-value coastal markets.

This year’s career fair will take place on Wednesday, April 1 beginning at 9:00 AM at Faculty House, on Columbia’s Morningside campus.
