We are pleased to share with our alumni and faculty an early notice of a forthcoming GSAPP initiative: the **GSAPP World Actioning Coalition**. With over 15,000 GSAPP graduates driving transformative work across the world, we are launching the **World Actioning Coalition**: a planetary forum for collaboration among scholars, practitioners, and activists. At a moment when the world’s most urgent challenges are unmistakably transnational, the Coalition responds by mobilizing GSAPP’s global network to think, act, and intervene collectively. This effort will be launched during the inaugural **[World Actioning Summit](https://www.arch.columbia.edu/events/4044-inaugural-gsapp-world-actioning-summit-in-seoul)**, convening the GSAPP community **in Seoul on March 14, 2026**. The Summit will foreground an ecological paradigm for the built environment: one that understands architecture and urbanism not as bounded objects, but as active agents within complex climatic, territorial, societal, technological, and bodily systems. Across the day, speakers will engage with this paradigm through research, practice, and activism–articulating new modes of action commensurate with the transscalarity and stakes of current challenges.
