LIFETIME EMAIL FORWARDING FOR ALUMNI

Columbia now offers alumni a free email forwarding service that allows you to keep your address "@columbia.edu" while forwarding your mail to another preferred email address. The service converts your current Columbia address into a "shell" which forwards you to a private provider : Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, your new work email, etc. While the shell stays the same, you can change the underlying email address as many times as you would like online - a great convenience since you'll never have to email all of your family and friends each time you change your preferred email address. Even better, with your student email address following you, you won't lose touch with your classmates.

Because this is strictly a forwarding arrangement, Columbia will never have access to your messages.

Sign up and get more information at: alumni.columbia.edu
Help line: (212) 870-2262 (during normal business hours)

Recent Graduates: Save Your UNI because this is your basic way into the system.

Your UNI will remain active after you graduate so that you can take advantage of online services for alumni. Your CUNIX server space will be discontinued about six months after you leave Columbia, however, so be sure to heed the warnings you will receive about saving any files or messages you have on the server.

If you have forgotten your password or it has become inactive for some reason, you can request a reset from Columbia University Alumni Relations using the alumni@columbia help form at: www1.columbia.edu/sec/cu/alumni/alumniat/help
You will then be given a temporary password that will allow you to reactivate your UNI and select a new password.

The email address you had as a student "@columbia.edu" will also be de-activated within a few months of your graduation so you will be unable to send or receive email through CubMail, Pine, etc. Please sign up soon for lifetime email forwarding so we can keep in touch.
