Globalization and New York City

Nodes of super-concentration like New York are one of the key symptoms of the relentless rise of globalization through vast planetary scaled networks of exchange. New York city is therefore an ideal laboratory for investigating the new roles of built environment professionals in the ever more globalized world. GSAPP is launching a series of detailed investigations of New York in parallel with a series of comparative research projects around the world. The more the school's global reach extends outwards, the deeper the analysis of New York City becomes.
