*NEW AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS of New York City*

We have added new aerial photos of New York City to the X:\ Drive. The Bluesky Orthoimages are from 2003 and have 25-centimeter resolution (much higher resolution than what was previously available). You can find them at X:\New_York_City\Base_Data\AERIALS\bluesky_orthophoto. They are organized by borough and indexed for easier use. To learn how to use the index, click here.

Note the Columbia Lehman Library has purchased census data for China and India . That data can be obtained by going directly to EDS in the basement of Lehman Libraries.

New GIS File Structure

In order to make spatial data more accessible to the GSAPP community, the GIS data collection stored on the X:/ Drive of the GSAPP network was reorganized, inventoried, and updated over the past summer. A new easy to navigate file structure was created and will be launched on September 7th, 2007.

GIS Data Catalog

To accompany this new file structure, a catalog listing all data currently held on the X:/ Drive and where it is stored was created. This catalog outlines the contents and date of most files and identifies the files that are regularly updated.
