Advanced Architectural Design - Global Metropolis Program Requirements

The post-graduate program to graduate with a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design degree from Columbia University requires a minimum of 45 points (recommended 54) in the following curriculum:

Term I (Summer)

Design Studio I – New York 9 pts

Term II (Fall)

Design Studio III – New York (with research trip to global city) 9 pts

Notes:

- Partial or full need-based scholarships are available to subsidize or fully cover tuition costs (tuition for 2012 is $66,600). Before such scholarships, total program costs including tuition and living expenses including travel & accommodation with additional university facilities fee, health service and medical insurance are $100,015.

- Participants in need of introduction to computer modeling and multimedia techniques will be required to complete a special course in advance. - Participants in need of additional training in English (TOEFL lower than 100) should consider an English language course in advance.

- It is advised to take an additional 3 point elective during the summer and spring semesters, and an additional seminar by Moscow faculty is envisaged for the fall semester.

- The strongest graduates of the program will be eligible to apply to carry out an additional year of study in the Advanced Architectural Research program at GSAPP and all graduates have the possibility of spending a one year period after the completion of the program for further training and working experience in the United States.
