Corie Trancho-Robie is the Assistant Director for the ColumbiaUniversity Oral History Research Office. She was an interviewer andresearcher for the Park Slope Neighborhood Guide, in collaboration withthe Brooklyn Historical Society, and is currently working on the oralhistory of Admiral’s Row at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, as well asdocumenting the social history of the Cherokee Apartments, located onthe Upper East Side of Manhattan. She received her B.A. in Education andChild Study from Smith College and is currently pursuing her M.A. inAmerican Studies, focusing on the relationship between social history,narrative and the urban built environment, at Columbia University.
