"Usonia" is a short computer animation created by four Columbia University students at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, & Preservation in New York City. The animation is the product of an independent research project for academic credit offered by the GSAP's Digital Design Lab. The computer modeling and animation were developed using Softimage.3D software on Silicon Graphics Indy, Indigo, and 02 workstations.

"Usonia" premiered in August 1997 at the SIGGRAPH 97 Computer Animation Festival in Los Angeles, California. The film was shown several times a day in three different theatres to a large audience. The animation was also highlighted in the September 97 edition of Animation World Magazine.
